Frog Team is a band best described as funeral music for a clown car pile-up. Their songs mix Mid-00’s punk rock aggression and guitar work that’s equal parts The Fall of Troy and Fall Out Boy with irreverent, over-the-top lyrics delivered through bubblegum-sweet hooks.

 

First leaping onto the scene in late 2023, the trio’s effortless origin reflects their music itself. Milo (Bass), Philip (Drums/Vocals), and VK (Guitar/Vocals) never planned to form a consistent band, only intending to play a single show. They quickly assembled several songs formed around fleeting, often intrusive thoughts, and played to their first crowd in October 2023. But Frog Team’s standout style and energetic performances earned instant attention and further offers.

 

After releasing their first EP, …for tax purposes, the attention on the band only grew, with “(I Want to) Feed Grapes to Dogs” becoming an instant local classic. Their newest release, something weird in the water, seeks to refine that potential, turning their live set into a collection of songs that are as ferocious as they are fun.
